Information we collect

The New Girl Code aims to inspire young women to take an interest in technology. When you use our website we process your IP address, browser, analytics id, device type and location.

 

If you donate to our fund your credit or debit card information and other financial data that we need to process your payment maybe collected and stored by us and/or the payment processors with which we work with. The payment processor might provide us with some limited information related to you, such as a unique token that enables you to make additional purchases using the information they have stored and your cards type, expiration date and certain digits of your card number.

 

You can contact us and leave your information with us for questions, future updates, newsletter, marketing or other reasons. In those cases we would collect the information you would give us, e.g. e-mail address, name, company you work for, job title, location.

 

Purpose and lawful basis for processing

We use your personal data primarily for achieving the goals: to inspire young women to take an interest in technology.

 

We use the data we collect to communicate with you about events, news, releases. The initial contact will take place based on our legitimate business interest during this contact we will ask for your consent to send further communications to you. You may withdraw your consent at any time.

 

Just like any organisation we use IT systems, partners and websites. We use these to promote our platform,  to store the information we obtain,  to call and e-mail about our work, to create strategies about where The New Girl Code should be going. Most of these business purposes will not contain your personal information but when it does we will always try to minimize the data that we use about you. If we use your personal data for this purpose we do so based on our legitimate business interest to be able to run our organisation. Any personal data use for this purpose is limited. If you do not wish to be included in these communications you have the right to object to our use of your personal data for this purpose. If you do so we will again reassess our legitimate interest and take any objection grounds raised by you into consideration

Third parties

During the course of our normal business we will share some of your data with third parties.

Software providers: We use cloud based software to store and host your personal data as well as use third party e-mail software to send out newsletters.

Social Media: We will post about the New Girl Code on social media. We might also post comments and remarks we receive from individuals.

Partner organizations: In some countries we rely on the use of third parties we work with.

Storage period

We will always only keep your data for as long as we reasonably need it for the purposes listed above.

 

Data subject rights

While we decide how we use your personal data, even if we ask for consent, it is still your personal data that we use. Because it is your personal data you have certain rights that you may call on. These rights are:

-          Right to ask  us to change any personal data that we hold about you that is inaccurate
